On December 16th of 2011, Jake Dryzal of Windber, Pennsylvania released "Evenly Desperate", a piano EP under the name BLUE NAVY. Since that cold winter day, he has released two albums, three EPs, and has performed over thirty times in the Johnstown area.

Inspired by groups such as Red House Painters, Slowdive, and Soul Whirling Somewhere, Blue Navy's style consists heavily of reverberating guitars and warm synthesizers. Both are accompanied by haunting, introspective lyrics that create complex feelings in the listener.
